Sooooo fun! I am in! Now about books.........................wow!! I haven't even thought about socks!

as we are all busy in the summer, this next swap will be a low-key one. but just as fun! (just less work)

as you noticed, it is going to be a book swap. but not only a book! the swap package should include...

a book

a bookmark

a pair of socks

and your favorite treats to eat while reading

now for the book. DO NOT stress out about what to pick for a book. just pick your favorite at the moment, your most fun read, or one that you thought was interesting. NO ONE is going to judge you based on the book you read. for example, please no-one send the bible or feel that they should send a leo tolstoy, or plato. we know that we are all educated and well-read and love classics, but keep this more light reading. (um...not that those aren't fun...right?) oh! and gently used ones are encouraged, they do NOT have to be new.

bookmark... pretty explanatory. it does not have to be home-made...but if it isn't. it better be pretty darn cute! ;)

socks. these do NOT have to be expensive. just fun or silly and comfy

and treats. this could include hot chocolate, candy, popcorn, chocolate, trail mix... just ask if your swap has any allergies or anything. (um...for whoever gets me, i love frosting:)

this will be fun and a perfect swap for back to school!

RULES

1.your package must include a book, bookmark, socks and treats

2. you have to contact me to let me know if you want to do it by august 1st

3. your package has to be sent out by september 1st

4. and you have to take pictures of your package that you receive and post on this blog.

Just want to say I really enjoyed this craft swap and I'm looking forward to the next one. I've loved checking the blog and seeing all the crafts, it seems like we all received such great packages, I know I did! Anyway, I must say thank you to Catherine for arranging the whole thing and if I were as cool as her, I'd be wearing this shirt! Thanks Catherine!

Pure Awesomeness

Ok. so I forgot about posting the pictures! It's a late late post...but it doesn't fade my excitement of EVERYTHING I got from Cat. How did she make all this??? I still can't believe it. The package made me feel guilty that I only made three things...
But It was like opening Christmas presents, and the gift kept coming out of the box!

A necklace made of vintage jewelry.

a ring. (LOVE LOVE LOVE)

I opened the decorated box and found this adorable banner!

A torso with a rustic dress! in a cool container... At this moment, I was panicking. How did she make all this??!!

And how did she know that I was a big fan of cupcakes?

And how did she know I love vintage americana?
Thank you, thank you Cat! for sending all these wonderful things for me. (and forgive me for posting the photos so late...)

LOVE (not like) LOVE

I LOVE (not like) LOVE, my crafts! Thank you JosephineWe exchanged our crafts at Catherine's house, and I forgot my camera. I did take some pictures with Cats camera before I opened my presents, I'm hoping she'll post :) Josephine wrapped them so nicely and adorably.

My girls are wearing these like halos and incorporating them into all their dances. I'm enjoying how much entertainment this craft has provided :)

We are also LOVING our family home evening activities. We haven't gotten through all of them yet but we are having the treat this weekend.

Thanks a million!

P.S. When I gave Cooper the yo-yo he said "how come your other friends don't give me cool things?"

well....its almost the 4th!!!

I am soooo sorry for the delay, when I did in fact get this ADORABLE package almost a month ago from the incredibly talented Annie, who sewed for like 2 days straight or something to get our family festive-wear!
I had great aspirations for everyone to be all garbed up and a great shot taken, but none the less, a crazy month ensued, we are leaving for UT today and this is my best effort at the moment.

Pictured above...headband for meioooou, little apron dress for my 3 yr. old and clippie at the bottom too, and 3 matching bow-ties for my boys!  Thank you so much Annie...we will be the envy at church on Sunday!!  What SERIOUS talent.  THANK YOU!
